Safely Simulate Explosive Effects in Your Urban Combat Training
Safely create realistic explosive effects, even in demanding urban combat scenarios. Attach your Explotrain Model X-OHW to the outside of a building or vehicle, and the explosive effects heard and felt inside the enclosure are every bit as real as they need to be for effective training, even though they take place outside. The adjustable blast effects also allow the X-OHW to be used safely indoors. Simply interface the X-OHW with one of our wireless systems, connect it to a laser system to register an RPG hit, or connect to Explotrain’s X-CAP and IFIED systems for extremely realistic simulation. At less than 17” tall, the X-OHW can easily be hidden by its surroundings giving your training the element of surprise you need.

Explosive Blast Simulator with Separate Control and Gas Supply
The Model X-05 uses Explotrain’s patented propane oxygen system to create realistic explosive battlefield effects to safely train your troops. The explosive blasts produced by the X-05 result in an adjustable 100-120+dB punch of sound that is felt as well as heard, allowing you the necessary realism required for your training needs. Despite the loudness of the Model X-05, the blast wave it produces meets DOD standards for safe use near buildings, windows and personnel. More easily concealed than any other simulator in its class, the X-05’s proven waterproof capabilities, multiple configurations and easy one man carry make it an ideal choice for more scenarios than any other Simulator available.

XP Series Pneumatic Simulators—High Level Blast Effects Using Compressed Air or CO2
Explotrain’s XP Series of Pneumatic Simulators are the only compressed air or CO2 powered devices available that don’t rely on burst discs or containers. The tuned shockwave of an XP Simulator produces both a loud report and unique tactile impulse or impact for additional levels of training. For example, an XP-360 placed under the seat of a vehicle can “strike” the feet of a driver who passes a roadside bomb or a device used in conjunction with pop up targets in a CQB setting can help train combatants to react to threats after they have been hit by enemy attacks. The much larger XP-870 can be placed in a 5 gallon bucket and "hidden in plain sight" in urban combat settings. Various powders, gels, liquids and scents can be dispersed by XP Devices for additional visual and olfactory signatures. XP Series Simulators can even be used underwater.

Add Another Dimension to Realistic Urban Combat Training SAFELY
Safely subject your students to the realism of shooting a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) even when they are indoors. You control the flight path and impact zone. Just anchor the guideline to a targeted building or object and squeeze the mechanical trigger. The guideline ensures the highest degree of safety and control available. When launched, the X-ROW produces both the visible and audible effects of a RPG being fired. For further realism use one of Explotrain’s Explosive Blast Simulators at or near the impact zone to replicate the blast effects of an RPG impact.
Rocket Propelled Grenade-
Device
Explotrain X-RPG Rocket Propelled Grenade Simulator
Effects
100+km/hr CO2 powered rocket on guide wire
Visual "smoke" cloud from rocket on firing
Explosive report upon impact
Applications
Simulates flight and impact of an RPG
Note: Can be hand held or anchored to stationary object for firing.
Explotrain's Simulators utilize a multi unit long range two way communications system of remote control. One operator can control multiple devices over a two square kilometer range from a single location. Explotrain Simulators can also be connected and operated by any existing command and control system or over user or self supplied Wi-Fi networks.
Explotrain devices are non-explosive and non-pyrotechnic. Pyrotechnic devices are cost prohibitive in extended applications due to higher cost per shot, safety training costs in time and resources for operators and students, storage requirements and lost training time in the event of misfires. Pyrotechnic devices can produce safety hazards in close proximity to personnel or by the production of hazardous fragmentation when used improperly, i.e. a distraction grenade thrown onto a gravel road produces a high velocity fragmentation hazard. Explotrain devices have been tested and approved for use by the US military and federal government.
